What to Expect

No matter what the weatherpeople or apps say, out on the water is always a little cooler than land. That's why the fine print says "cooler by the lake". I suggest bringing layers. It is much better to have a light jacket that you don't need, than shivering and wishing you would have brought it.

Also, sunscreen is a must! You may not think you need it, but even on a cloudy day those rays can get you. Sunglasses, lip balm, your favorite food and drinks (cans), and of course you best boat tunes playlist make for more fun on the water. Bringing a bluetooth speaker is helpful in case your phone won't pair with the boat.

Your time on the water is "your" time so please let me know any expectations you may have. If your expectation is to have a great time, I have a pretty good plan for that. A trip south for great Instagram worthy selfies against the Chicago skyline, a 180 around the Chicago Lighthouse, and a trip through the "playpen" before returning to port usually does the trick.
